Durham Mom’s Night Out is hosting Jesse Martell from Pulse CPR this coming Wednesday for an informative evening on subjects we hope we’ll never have to draw from: CPR/childhood emergency prevention.

The cost is just $12/person, which is VERY reasonable for a course such as this.

Any money remaining after the room rental and speaker fees are paid will be donated to The Bethesda House: a women’s shelter, and advocacy/support organization for women and children suffering domestic violence www.bethesdahouse.ca

If you’re interested, please email durhammoms@gmail.com and we’ll send you the details.

Please note you MUST pay in cash at the door.

For more information on the class and Jesse, see his listing here: http://www.durhamregionbaby.com/health-and-safety/

After writing off scrapbooking due to lack of locale, we’re tickled to have hooked up with JC’s Scrapbook Studio in Ajax (thanks, Heidi!).

Owner Sue is going to host us Wed. Nov. 14 and Wed. Dec. 12 from 8-10:30. Price is $5/person, and she’s going to keep the store open if anyone needs supplies or isn’t into scrapbooking and wants to see what it’s all about.

If you just aren’t a scrapbooking kinda gal, you are still more than welcome to come along for snacks n’ chat, and bring any other project you’re working on (Carolyn, for example, doesn’t scrapbook, but will bring her knitting).

And Cheryl is looking into booking us a fun little girl’s night at her place hosting a Fantasia party. Cue giggles and dirty little secrets…

Will let you know when that gets booked.

See you all soon!

I wrote about it here today, but wanted to make sure the mom group knew, too:

The Durham Region Parents of Multiple Births Association is holding their semi-annual sale this Saturday from 9 a.m. – noon at the Oshawa Curling Club.

There is a huge selection of gently-used clothes, toys, books and equipment such as strollers, exercausers and playpens.

Jen and I will be there, so look for us if you end up going!
