Special Edition

One of our Mom’s, Alison, is an Epicure Consultant and she has offered to hold a tasting party, with Carolyn acting as hostess! Yum!

Tasting Parties are relaxed, fun and, above all, tasty occasions! Guests (that’s us!) get great tips for easy recipes, gifts and entertaining. They (us again!) enjoy the opportunity to shop from their seat, not their feet, while sampling a delicious selection of our prepared products.

Please take the time to peruse the website to check out the products and prices and to start building your shopping list for the holidays!

If you’d like to join us, please email durhammoms@gmail.com to be included on the invite list.

Hope to see you there!

Jen and Carly

Carly’s physiotherapist — credited with saving her sanity and girly bits — is coming out to chat with our group about the often-overlooked, but super-important pelvic floor. Vicki specializes in this area, and will answer questions (no holds barred, ladies), teach technique and ways to keep your pelvic floor healthy and happy.

I’m not kidding that this woman was a life saver. This is a silent issue among women of all ages, but especially us who have given birth recently or are pregnant.

In lieu of payment, Vicki has asked us to make a donation to a women’s shelter. Please do so when you arrive — we are donating to Bethesda House.

We’ll provide coffee and tea, and would greatly accept any goodies you want to bring to share for a snack!

If you’d like to join us and/or be on our  mailing list for upcoming events, please email us at durhammoms@gmail.com .

Carly and Jen

Durham Mom’s Night Out is hosting Jesse Martell from Pulse CPR this coming Wednesday for an informative evening on subjects we hope we’ll never have to draw from: CPR/childhood emergency prevention.

The cost is just $12/person, which is VERY reasonable for a course such as this.

Any money remaining after the room rental and speaker fees are paid will be donated to The Bethesda House: a women’s shelter, and advocacy/support organization for women and children suffering domestic violence www.bethesdahouse.ca

If you’re interested, please email durhammoms@gmail.com and we’ll send you the details.

Please note you MUST pay in cash at the door.

For more information on the class and Jesse, see his listing here: http://www.durhamregionbaby.com/health-and-safety/
