Mini golf

This week (Sept. 19) we’re mini putting at Putting Edge in Whitby. If you didn’t receive an Evite, but would like to come, please email us at durhammoms@gmail.com and we’ll add you to the mailing list. New faces are always welcome and encouraged.

If you’re nervous to join a new club on your own, here’s an idea – bring a mom-friend with you and the two of you join together!

Also, this months Book Club selection is A Girl Named Zippy by Havel Kimmel. I picked mine up from Chapters.ca and with shipping it came to just over $20 and arrived in two days! I’m half way through, and am THOROUGHLY enjoying it. That’s all I’ll say until discussion night. Check out the Book Club tab above for more information and to see our future selections.

See everyone on Wednesday.

What a great time we had last night, as evidenced by our conga-like pose.

Seven of us went mini golfing at Putting Edge in Whitby. Luckily no one got hurt with our wild swings (moms have strong arms, ya know…), although there was one flying golf ball that threatened to decapitate the Double Lisa team.

We’ll definitely have to go back another time. Our next activity, I believe, will be a movie on Aug. 15.

To see more pics of our night, visit the Durham Mom’s Night Out Flickr page here.

Have a great week!

This week we’re meeting at Putting Edge at the AMC Theatre Centrum in Whitby at 8pm, with an 8:30 tee off time.  Those who are on the Durham Mom’s Night Out mailing list have been sent an e-vite.  If you’re not on the mailing list, but would like to attend, just leave a comment or email us at jodonnell79@gmail.com or foster.carly@gmail.com and we’ll add you to our list!

We’ll see you on Wednesday, and don’t forget to wear white – it’s glow-in-the-dark.  How fun!
